Black Silk Top Hat sales is the exclusive business of Vintage-Toppers which was established to supply traditional black silk top hats for Ascot and other formal occasions. Our customers are those who are concerned to have the correct attire for the occasion. For Royal Ascot hats are obligatory and nothing is better than a traditional black silk top hat.
We sell Vintage Black Silk Top Hats which have been carefully chosen and restored to the highest possible standard.
The traditional black silk top hat is no longer manufactured and all our stock is, therefore, vintage. Of the period toppers available very few are suitable for our customers. Many are too small - head sizes have increased over the years - and many more are too badly damaged to be restored to our exacting standards. Since it is no longer possible to obtain the silk plush covering we reject any hat with damaged silk.
Delivery
For customers in London and the Southeast we will bring a selection of suitable hats for you to choose from to your; home, office, tailors, hotel, club or other suitable location. Customers in other parts of the country please phone to arrange selection and fitting.
Hat Search
The scarcity of good quality top hats, especially the large ones, means that we cannot guarantee that we will always have a suitable hat in stock. In the event that we are unable supply a suitable hat we offer a hat search service where we will use our contacts and knowledge to find you a suitable hat as soon as possible.
